Robbie’s has one last Eagle Scout project work day scheduled for this Saturday – May 25, 2019 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Camp Merriwood. He’s going to need as many hands as possible to install the last parts of the elevated walkway.

Troop 934 Gladding Challenge

Troop 934 has been blessed and challenged. Sam and Claire Gladding have been long time supporters of Troop 934 and have 3 Troop 934 Eagles in their family. They are aware of some strategic funding needs that the troop has and have issued the following:

The Gladding family will donate $5000 to the troop if the troop raises a matching $5000. Steve Kelley is doing a great job raising this money on our behalf. He has been primarily soliciting the adult leadership thus far and has raised $2500.

The hard part is we need to raise the additional $2500 in the next 2 weeks. So, we are pulling out the stops and asking everyone to make whatever donation you are able to. Feel free to include grandparents, employers, neighbors and vendors. We accept cash, credit cards, checks and gold and silver. Please do what you can to help out.

What will the money be used for, you say? A portion of it will be used to fund a new scholarship being opened in the name of Mark Werkman and Cameron Roletter (934 Eagles who have passed away). Most of it will be pointed towards a new means of transportation. Our bus and van are both in need of replacement.

Thanks for your help. We’ll see you tonight!

Swim Checks Today, May 19th – 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm

This is just a reminder that we have swim checks this afternoon. If your scout would like  some additional swimming instruction prior to the swim check, please let Mrs. Settlemire know and plan to come right at 2:30 pm.

I have had several questions as to if you have to do a swim check even if you have your swimming merit badge or are a champion swim team captain – the answer is YES! Everyone who plans to swim at Summer Camp has to do a swim check every year.

Seabase participants the swim check is a requirement for you as well.
