It was a big weekend of
popcorn selling! Thank you to all the scouts that came out to the
storefronts at Lowes Hardware and Lowes Foods this weekend. The troop
made over $1,800 in popcorn sales.
Tonight
is another Troop Popcorn Drawing! Scouts with $250 or more in popcorn
sales can participate in the weekly drawing for the chance to go up
against the leader of their choice in a gallery Nerf Shoot Out for a
prize.
If
your scout is not recording his sales in the popcorn app, please remind
him to bring in his popcorn sheet to show us his sales tomorrow night.
If your family has not had a chance to get started selling popcorn, please contact Amanda Treadway 336.408.8139 or Shannon Settlemire 336.692.4519 and they will help your scout get started, there is still time!

Good evening everyone! We have a couple of opportunities available for those not going to Fall Fellowship this weekend!
Eagle Scout Project Work Day
Jack Hubbard is having his Eagle Scout Project work day where he’ll be leading a group building benches for the Arbor Acres Retirement Community! Lunch will be provided around noon.
The popcorn model has changed this year and we now have Store Front Sales and Neighborhood Blitzes. This Sunday is our first Neighborhood Blitz at 2:00 pm at Leinbach Park. We need leaders to help. The blitz goes from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Remember we do have pizza! The boys are divided into teams and we need leader support with each team. There is a detailed plan but we need more adults to pull it off.
Please reach out to Mrs. Settlemire if you can help out this Sunday!
We have a driver. Meet in the gravel lot where buses are parked at 5:45pm on Friday. Bring a bag supper or talk Mr Harterink into stopping at fast food on the way up (very likely). See packing list on wahissa.org plus bring class A, sash and money for trading post. You may prepay for event itself on wahissa.org. Return will be between 10:30 and 11:30 on Sunday. Dropoff will probably be at Leinbach park due to timing.
This weekend is fall fellowship for those in the Order of the Arrow. We have several arrowmen who wish to attend and we have the van reserved- but no driver. Please contact David Helms 336/399-8139 if you are willing to drive. Even if you can’t spend the weekend, but can go up and back would work. Thanks
An opportunity to help a Girl Scout complete her gold award project this Saturday has become available. This project is to help brick up a butterfly garden area at Mt. Tabor Church. Donuts and water will be provided!
Where: Mt. Tabor UMC – small parking lot behind the children’s playground
Date and Time: Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 8am to 11am
This is a good way to earn some volunteer hours for rank advancement if you’ll be in town this weekend!
Court of Honor is tonight starting at 7:00pm and we look forward to celebrating all the merit badges, rank advancements, and High Adventure travels our troop has accomplished over the summer!
The sign up table will be open at 6:30pm in the welcome center! Come early to see all the High Adventure pictures from this summer presented on the big screen!
