Parents and Scouts:

Scouts are to be in Class A uniforms at ALL meetings unless otherwise directed.

We have several details below that are critical and pertinent to all parents and scouts.

  • Beginning tomorrow, August 18th, 2025 the following policy is in effect for Troop 934:  Troop 934 is a cell phone and device free Troop.
  • What does this mean for your Scout?  Parents, we are asking for your critical partnership to help guide your scouts to leave their phones and devices at home for all meetings, events and trips.
  • If a Scout has their phone out during a meeting, it will be confiscated and will not be returned until the end of the meeting.  If a Scout is found to have a phone during a trip or event, the phone/device will be held until the trip ends.
  • If a Scout needs to bring their phone to the meeting, we will have a “Phone Box” for devices until the end of the meeting.
  • If we confiscate a phone due to violating this policy, WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PHONE.

An important message from Philmont Leader, Daniel Lobb regarding the Memorial Day Backpacking Trip May 23rd-May 26th at Deep Creek (Creak Smoky Mountains National Park):
Thank you to those scouts and parents who have already registered for this trip. If you plan to attend, could you add your name to the list? Bryan Scott and I are reserving back country camping permits which is a very tedious process and it is hugely helpful to have an accurate head count 30 days in advance. I urge you to sign up ASAP to help us plan a successful trip for everyone.
If you have not heard Bryan speak about this trip at a Monday night meeting – we are looking for several more adult leaders to attend this backpacking trip with the Troop. No previous experience is required and we may even have the gear that you need. We will have at least four separate treks and each trek needs two to four leaders. Please consider attending with us and start making memories on the trail. Bryan or I are happy to discuss this with you.

Jacob Brown has several opportunities for scouts and parents to volunteer/assist with both his Eagle Scout Project fundraiser and workdays benefiting Merry Wood Christian Camp in Clemmons.

  • Donations:  Donations can be made out to Merry Wood Christian Camp (For Jacob Brown’s Eagle Project).  All funds will go directly to the project supply cost.
  • Workdays:  May 10th, May 17th and 24th.  All from Noon to 5:00 p.m.  Food and drinks will be provided. A QR code will be available tonight.

Merit Badge College Attendees:

  • Please be on the lookout for an email regarding this weekend’s event and what to expect.  If you have any questions, please email the troop admin t934leaderadm@gmail.com or text Meg (614.824.0501).
