Tickets are now available on Eventbrite for our Winter Banquet. A scrumptious dinner has been planned with gluten-free and vegetarian options available. Tickets are not available at the door.
Will Scott Historian Project: Our Troop Historian, Will Scott, is creating a time capsule as part of his leadership position. He will be collecting small, scout related items (i.e. patches or pins) that will be left in the time capsule for future 934 scouts.
The Webelos will be in attendance tonight; all scouts need to be in uniform.
Service Project
Dear Parents and Scouts,
My name is Konrad Wozniak, and I am a member of the National Junior Honor Society at Meadowlark Middle School, Scout Troop 934. And this is a kind reminder about my service project, Warm Coats for Warm Hearts.
I am collecting gently used or new winter coats for children, teens, and adults in need. All donations will go to the Community Coat Closet, a local nonprofit organization that provides coats to individuals and families in need, including victims of Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina.
Here are the key details of the project:
Collection Period: Now through December 2024
What I Need: Gently used or new coats for children, teens, and adults
Goal: To collect 100 coats
I would appreciate any donation, help me achieve my goal and spread warmth this winter.
For more information, or if you would like to discuss partnership opportunities, please feel free to contact my parents, Ewa Tomczak-Woźniak at 336-602-5361 or Zibi Woźniak at 336-553-7119.
Your support would make a big difference!
Warm regards, Konrad Wozniak National Junior Honor Society Member Meadowlark Middle School Scouts Troop 934 (Troop Historian, Mount Tabor United Methodist Church) Scout Pack 934 (Den Chief)

November 4, 7pm: Troop Meeting @ MTUMC
November 15-17: Uwharrie National Forest Backpacking Trip: Sign Up Here
Today is your LAST DAY to turn in your completed popcorn and peanut paper order forms. If you did NOT hand to me at Monday’s meeting, then please do the following:
Text an image of each form with scout name listed to Matt Love at 336-406-9641.
If you did not hand me physical forms nor text me images, your door-to-door orders will not be fulfilled.
Lastly – Online orders are still possible through Halloween. See below how to easily promote online-only sales this week:
Visit this link: PopcornOrdering | Camp Masters; Next, input your scout’s name, verify the Troop 934 association listed next to his name and take note of the “Key Code” at the far right.
Share that same link with family, friends, and coworkers and your scout’s Troop 934 Key Code for immediate lookup – by email or social media. These online purchases are available beyond Monday’s meeting. They credit toward your scout’s $700 commitment and ship directly to the consumer.
These online sales do NOT get recorded on your paper order forms.
Troop meetings tonight at 7pm! Yes – we know there was no school today! See you there!
With our storefront sales concluded, now is the big push for DOOR TO DOOR and ONLINE sales through the month of October. See you at tonight’s raffle!
Venturing Crew
Attention Older Scouts and Youth – Join the new Venturing Crew 934
The new Venturing Crew 934 will formally kick off with an interest meeting, activities, and free Chick-Fil-A in the MTUMC Fellowship Hall on Monday, October 14 at 7:15pm. Crew 934 is a new coed unit for older scouts and other youths age 15-21 that will focus on high adventure and service. Venturing differs from traditional scouting in that it is 100% youth led. The youth officers and venturers will choose the adventures they want, then plan and implement them. This will be a fun group and a great way for older scouts to remain active while engaging in new and different adventures. Come see what we’re all about! Flyer included at the bottom of this email.

At this past week’s meeting we raffled off hundreds of dollars’ worth of gear – from Camel Back Rim Runner Pack to Ultra Light Collapsing Camp Chair – and recognized first online sellers. And the weekend prior we executed our first storefront sale of the season! See below for information on the next raffle and how to get your name into the vacant spots on the storefront signup link:
Door to Door Sales:
– I’d like to stress the importance of this traditional sales method alongside the others; Selling to neighbors, teachers and family is highly effective because of the relationships involved; $100 in new weekly sales gets your scout into Monday’s next raffle!
– Bring both sheets Monday. I pull reports for their online sales, so don’t record those on the paper sheets.
– Remember that you can take cash now or later, but parents are responsible for bundling cash then presenting a check payable to Troop 934
– Popcorn & Peanuts will be provided mid-November, at which point scouts then deliver to the door-to-door buyers
– Parents, please do not log door to door nor storefront sales into the popcorn portal
Storefront Sale Update:
– Storefront sales signups can be found on the popcorn page from the troop website https://troop934.org
– I deliver the popcorn inventory and “sales kit” to the adult volunteers … all you need to do is show up!
Online Sales:
– Congratulations to Daniel Ertl, Daniel Honeycutt, Elliott Love, Adam Scott & Nash Williams for joining the “Online Sales Club!”
– Special mention for Nash who has made SIX such online sales – ask his family how easy it is!
– Log into campmasters.org then click “Promote Yourself Online” for easy instructions
– These sales get direct-shipped to the buyer with no follow-up required by scouts; I track the sales towards your raffle participation
Thank you all for your continued support … need a big push from all scouts – RAVENS to EAGLES on door to door & online sales!
